MahjMate
MahjMate is a platform for running in-person mahjong leagues — scheduling, seats, waitlists, scores, and standings. It is operated by KN Technologies LLC. Each league on the platform is run by its own organizers; this policy covers the platform itself.
Account details: your name, email address, phone number, and a password (stored only as a secure hash).
Optional profile details you choose to add: a profile photo, bio, skill level, birthday (month and day only), and your typical availability.
League activity: the games you join or host, waitlist positions, scores, standings, and messages you post on a game's thread.
If you use the MahjMate iOS app and allow notifications, a push notification token for your device.
Payments for league fees are processed by Stripe on your league's own Stripe account. Card numbers never touch our servers and we never see or store them.
To run your league: filling seats, managing waitlists, recording scores, calculating standings, and showing you in your league's member directory according to your settings.
To notify you about things that affect you — a seat opening up, a game changing time, scores being posted — by email, by text message if you opt in, or by push notification if you use the app.
That's the whole list. We don't use your information for advertising, we don't build profiles of you, and we never sell it.
Your league's organizers, through their admin tools, to run the league.
Other members of your league, only to the extent you allow in your directory and sharing settings.
Service providers that make the platform work, each receiving only what their job requires: Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Twilio (text messages), Apple (push notifications), and Railway (hosting).
No one else, unless the law requires it.
One cookie keeps you signed in. There are no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking.
We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account any time from your Profile page — in the app or on the web. Deletion anonymizes your personal details; game scores may remain in your league's history without your name attached, so past seasons still add up.
MahjMate is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
If our data practices change, we'll update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect.
